How Prize Payouts Work

TheBadGamer uses a cumulative earnings balance — like YouTube's payment system. Your prize money accumulates over time, and you withdraw it all at once when you reach the minimum threshold. No more chasing tiny individual payouts.

Step-by-Step Payout Flow

From winning a tournament to money in your bank

1

Win or host a real-money tournament

Automatic

When a tournament ends, prize amounts are calculated based on the distribution set by the host (e.g., 70% prize pool split as 50/30/20 for 1st/2nd/3rd). The host also earns 15% of the total entry fees.

GG Coin tournaments pay out instantly in coins — this guide only covers INR (real money) tournaments.

2

Prize appears as Pending in your balance

Admin Action

Your earnings balance shows the amount under "Pending" immediately after the tournament ends. This means the platform has recorded your winnings but is waiting for the admin to confirm the real-world fund transfer is complete.

The Pending state exists because real money must be verified — it cannot be automatically credited until an admin confirms the funds are available.

3

Admin confirms payment → moves to Available

Admin Action

The platform admin reviews each tournament payout, verifies the funds, and clicks "Mark Paid" in the admin panel. This moves your earnings from Pending to Available balance — ready to withdraw.

Typical confirmation time: within 24–48 hours of tournament completion. You receive a notification when your balance becomes available.

4

Your Available balance grows over time

Every tournament win and host payout adds to your Available balance. There's no rush — your earnings accumulate safely and don't expire. You can let multiple tournaments' worth of prizes build up before withdrawing.

Think of it like a bank account for your gaming earnings. The balance is yours — the threshold just determines the minimum withdrawal size.

5

Reach the minimum threshold (₹500)

Automatic

Once your Available balance reaches ₹500 (the default minimum, configurable by admin), the Withdraw button activates on your Earnings page. You can see your progress on the threshold progress bar.

The threshold prevents micro-transactions that would cost more in bank fees than the transfer amount itself.

6

Select your payout account and submit

Your Action

Click Withdraw, choose your saved payout account (or add a new one), and confirm. Your entire Available balance is submitted as a single payout request. The balance shows ₹0 while your request is in progress.

You can save multiple accounts in Settings → Payout Accounts and mark one as default. The default is auto-selected each time.

7

Admin processes your request (or Razorpay auto-sends)

Admin Action

Depending on platform configuration, your payout is either: (A) Auto-processed instantly via Razorpay for UPI/IMPS/NEFT/RTGS — money arrives within minutes. Or (B) Manually processed by admin — typically within 3–5 business days.

You'll see the Razorpay 'Auto' badge on supported methods if auto-processing is enabled for this platform.

8

Money arrives in your account

Automatic

You receive a notification + email when your payout is completed. The UTR (Unique Transaction Reference) number is recorded for your records. For NEFT/RTGS, you can track the transfer using the UTR with your bank.

Understanding Payout Statuses

What each status on your Earnings page means

Pending Admin

Earnings History (transaction)

Tournament completed — admin has not yet confirmed the real-world fund transfer. No action needed from you. Expect 24–48 hours.

Confirmed

Earnings History (transaction)

Admin confirmed the transfer. The amount has been moved to your Available balance.

Pending

Payout Requests

You submitted a withdrawal request. Admin has received it and will process shortly.

Processing

Payout Requests

Admin has initiated the bank transfer via Razorpay. The transfer is in transit.

Paid Out

Payout Requests

Bank confirmed the transfer. Your UTR reference number is available for tracking.

Rejected

Payout Requests

Admin rejected the request (with a reason). Your full balance is automatically restored — you can request again after fixing the issue.

Tax Deduction (TDS)

What you need to know about taxes on prize winnings

As per Section 194B of the Indian Income Tax Act, winnings from games of skill above ₹10,000 are subject to TDS (Tax Deducted at Source). The platform deducts this automatically before processing your payout.

₹10,000

TDS threshold per withdrawal

30%

Default TDS rate (if enabled)

Form 16

TDS certificate issued by platform

TDS deduction is currently disabled on this platform. When enabled, the net amount (after TDS) is shown in your payout request before you confirm. The deducted amount is deposited with the government on your behalf.

What happens when you click Withdraw?

A transparent look at what the system does behind the scenes

Immediately

Your Available balance is locked at ₹0

Prevents double-withdrawal while your request is in progress. If rejected, it's fully restored.

Immediately

A payout request is created in the admin panel

Admin sees your request with full details: amount, method, account info, and your profile.

Immediately

You receive a confirmation notification + email

So you know the request was received. Contains the request ID for tracking.

Admin action required

Admin clicks "⚡ Send via Razorpay" (or manually processes)

For Razorpay-supported methods (UPI/IMPS/NEFT/RTGS), Razorpay instantly creates the bank transfer. For PayPal or manual, admin processes outside the system.

If Razorpay auto

Razorpay webhook confirms bank transfer

Bank sends confirmation → Razorpay notifies platform → your payout is marked "Paid Out" automatically with UTR number.

If bank rejects

Razorpay sends reversal → balance automatically restored

If the bank rejects the transfer (wrong details, account frozen, etc.), your balance is automatically refunded. You'll be notified with the rejection reason.

Bottom line

Clicking Withdraw is not fully automatic — it needs an admin to approve and initiate the transfer. However, once admin approves, Razorpay-powered transfers are instant and fully automated. Manual PayPal transfers require additional admin effort and take 3–5 business days.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why does my earnings show ₹0 even though I won a tournament?

Prize money shows as Pending (yellow) until admin confirms the real-world fund transfer. Once confirmed, it moves to Available (green). If you just won, give admin 24–48 hours to process it.

Can I withdraw part of my balance?

No — each payout request withdraws your entire Available balance. This is by design to minimize transaction fees and administrative overhead. Save up to a larger amount before withdrawing.

What if my bank rejects the transfer?

Your balance is automatically restored to 100% of what you requested. You'll receive a notification with the rejection reason (e.g., 'Invalid UPI ID', 'Account closed'). Fix the issue in your payout account settings and request again.

Can I change my payout method after submitting a request?

No — once a request is submitted, the method is locked. If you need to change it, contact admin to reject your request (balance will be restored), then resubmit with the correct account.

How long does admin take to process payouts?

Typically within 3–5 business days for manual payouts, and same day or next business day for Razorpay auto-payouts. Platform admin typically processes payout requests in batches. Expedited processing is available by contacting support.

Do my earnings expire?

No. Your earnings balance never expires. You can let it accumulate for as long as you want.

Is there a maximum withdrawal amount?

No platform-imposed maximum. However, individual transfer method limits apply (UPI: ₹1L, IMPS: ₹5L, NEFT/RTGS: no limit). For very large amounts, use NEFT or RTGS.

What currencies are supported?

Currently INR (Indian Rupee) only for direct bank transfers. PayPal supports international currencies but is manually processed.

What is a UTR number?

UTR stands for Unique Transaction Reference — it's a 16–22 character alphanumeric code assigned by the bank to every IMPS/NEFT/RTGS transfer. You can use it to track your transfer's status directly with your bank if needed.
