📖 LFG Guide

How to Use LFG

From posting your first session to building a 5-star reputation — everything you need to know.

1

Finding Sessions

Browse with Activity Pill Filters

The LFG browse page has quick-filter pills for every activity type (Ranked, Casual, Raid, etc.). Click one to instantly filter — no form submission needed. Combine with the search bar for game-specific results.

Use Smart Match

At the top of the browse page (when logged in) you'll see "Smart Matches for You" — sessions for games already in your library. These are auto-selected based on what you actually play, so they're always relevant.

Advanced Filters

Click the Filters button to expand options: skill level (Beginner to Expert), mic requirement, and region. Finding a low-pressure session with no mic needed in your region takes seconds.

Posting a Session

① Search for your game

Type the game name in the search box — it pulls from your library and the full game database. Select the correct entry.

② Choose activity type

Be specific: "Ranked" vs "Casual" sets expectations. "Achievement Hunt" or "Speedrun" attracts exactly the right players.

③ Write a title that sells

Bad: "CS2 ranked". Good: "Diamond push — chill comms, serious about winning, no toxic". Your title is your elevator pitch.

④ Set skill level honestly

"Expert" keeps out mismatches. "Any" builds community. "Beginner" unlocks the Mentor badge for you. Choose what fits.

⑤ Schedule or post immediately

Leave the scheduled time blank for an instant post (expires in 24h). Set a future time to plan ahead — post expires 2h after.

⑥ Add tags

Tags like "no spoilers", "achievement hunter", or "chill vibes" filter out mismatched players before they even join.

Pro Tips

01

Post at peak hours for your region (usually evenings). You'll fill faster and get better-matched players.

02

Use the "Boost" feature (50 GG Coins) on important sessions to keep them at the top of the list.

03

A specific title like "Elden Ring Radahn fight — need ranged DPS, calm environment" fills 3× faster than "Elden Ring coop".

04

Set "min level" to filter out brand-new accounts if your session requires game knowledge.

05

After completing a session, rate everyone — even a 30-second rating earns you +10 XP and helps the community.

06

Your reputation score is permanent. Being a good teammate compounds over time into visible status.

07

Tag your session with "no spoilers" for story content — players genuinely appreciate it.
